“If you had to pick a cancer, this is the one to get.”
Cancer can’t be equivocated with the word good, yet so many doctors, friends, and strangers assured me that thyroid cancer was “the good cancer”. As grateful as I am for things not being more serious, I am still saddened and scared by my diagnosis.
Having the word “cancer” come into your life changes you. It’s inevitable to go through something like this and not come out on the other side feeling different.
Writing has been my way of processing my diagnosis. I started this blog as a way to spread awareness, grow a community among survivors, and help anyone going through a situation like this to feel less alone.
I’ll be sharing stories, reflections, and general information regarding thyroid cancer and the physical and emotional side effects that patients experience.
Please feel free to message me, comment, and share with anyone you think this may benefit. I am grateful for you following along on my journey!
